Posted in Equipment Sales with tags , , , , , on May 19, 2011 by prostocknation

The Anaheim Ducks will be conducting their equipment sale today at The Rinks – Anaheim ICE from 8:00pm-9:00pm.  Season Ticket Holders will gain entry at 6:00pm.  According to their website it will be cash or cheques only!

This is going to be their full blown equipment sale, not their fan appreciation sale a few weeks ago where they sold mostly general merchandise from their store with a few sticks mixed in.

After being eliminated by the Nashville Predators the Ducks announced their Fan Appreciation Sale (which includes Equipment) will take place this Saturday.

The Ducks Team Store at Honda Center will be holding its annual Fan Appreciation Sale this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A discount of up 50% off will be offered on select merchandise, with game-used equipment at the lowest prices of the season.

I will be in California this weekend… perhaps I will make the trip to the sale.

Corey Perry Slumping

With only 2 points in his last 7 games it looks like Corey Perry is digging into his old collection of sticks and using what’s comfortable to get out of this slump.  Last night when the Ducks hosted the Canucks Perry pulled out his familiar black and blue Easton S17, the same model he used when he put Canada up 2-0 against the USA a year ago in the Gold Medal Game at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.

Jonas Hiller – MLX Goalie Skates

Posted in Pro Stock, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , on December 6, 2010 by prostocknation

Jonas Hiller has been spotted wearing MLX skates as of late.  It’s the first and only goalie skate offering we’ve seen from this company with Mario Lemieux’s involvement.  We wonder if MLX is coming out with these skates or if they’re just a player’s boot wrapped in a cowling.

The player’s skates have been out for several months now and they’ve got guys like Sergei Gonchar, Daniel Alfredsson, Dustin Byfuglien and Paul Gaustad using their product right now.  But for a skate with a MSRP of $799 (currently on special for $599) we don’t know if we’d want to take the gamble and shell out top of the line money for a skate we can’t even try on before buying.  That being said, we did sign up to test a pair of these skates but unfortunately we were not picked.  So to the guys at MLX, if you’re interested in giving us a shot, drop us a line.
